My photography explores the tension between nature and human influence in urban environments. While living in Berlin in 2018, I was drawn to the city’s many parks and gardens, which promise escape yet always reveal traces of human design. What began as an attempt to capture pure nature evolved into a study of how we shape and frame it for our own comfort — creating artificial “edenic” spaces that blur the line between natural and artificial. Through these images, I question whether true nature can exist within the city and what our interventions say about modern priorities, materialism, and the need for calm in constructed spaces.
